Welcome to the temporary blog of Margaret Lin, "live" as of 20 January 2022.
I migrated here from margaretmlin.com, whose web-hosting term was set to expire towards the end of February 2022. From 2016 through January 2022, I used margaretmlin.com to post my artwork, news about my novels, and other topics that interested me. Prior to 2016, I posted more of the same on smallgreycat.blogspot.com.
As of 2 February 2022 I am in the process of changing margaretmlin.com over to a different host. I'm not yet certain that I'll be successful in transferring content.
About my art and writing:
I've long been inspired by the Impressionists and Post-Impressionists. I used traditional art mediums for most of my life, primarily acrylics, watercolors, gouache, and casein, but, beginning in 2014, I gradually transitioned to "digital" painting. Some time in 2020, I stopped using traditional mediums altogether. This was in part due to concerns about the environmental impact of particularly acrylic paints, and also because my stockpile of artwork was getting unwieldy.
I continue to have landscape paintings on exhibit at the Rehabilitation Medical Associates of Eugene-Springfield P.C., viewable to their patients. The paintings are all acrylics, done either on canvas or hardboard.
If I'm not creating art, I'm writing.
For a list of my published novels and picture books, you can check out my Amazon Author Page, The non-picture books are available at other online stores in e-book format; the full list of those stores is at Books2Read.com.
My novel, The Underground Girl, was one of the Multnomah County Library's Library Writers Project Selections for 2018, and a number of my books are available to check out from their online collection.
Thanks for stopping by.
